This project was my first instructable. The holder can hold a phone or a tablet. It can also be used to hold pencils, rulers and more.

Supplies

  • thin Cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue or Duct Tape
  • Paint (optional)
  • Charging wire and phone

Cutting

Cut out the parts. The two long pieces should be about 4 inches by 1 inch, while 4 of the small pieces should be about 1 and 1/2 inches by 1 inch. The last 2 small pieces should be about 1 and 1/2 inches by 1 and 1/4 Inches.

Glueing

For this step, I glued on the front panels first. You can use hot glue or duct tape.

Testing

The back support was too short, so the phone flipped backwards

Redesign

I added more back support and angled the front panel down more.

Retest

This time, it worked.

Add for Wire

For the next few steps, we will be adding parts for the stand to be able to have a wire.

Cutting

Cut out the pieces. They should be the same as the first cutting.

Assemble

image.jpg

Add the back panel on top of the original back panel. Also add the front panel on top of the original front panel. Make the second layer by placing the 2 small panels as the floor. You can also add diagonal small panels like in the photo. Don’t forget to add supports if it falls over

Paint *(optional)
