Today am sharing the tutorial for How To Make A Easy Sea Grass Crochet Coaster. Its a easy and quick pattern and you can make a couple of them in no time at all. These Crochet Coasters are the perfect handmade accessory that you will enjoy making which are sure to bring a smile to your face every time you use them.

Cotton yarns are the best to use for Crochet Coasters. I've used Sea Grass color, but you can use any color of your choice to suit your decor or festive occasion.

8 Ply Cotton Yarn

4 mm Crochet Hook

Round 1:-

Start with a Magic Circle.

12 Double Crochets in the circle.

Pull the yarn end to close the gap.

Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.

12 Stitches.

Round 2:-

**This Round Onwards , we will be making the Stitches in-Between each of the Stitch-i,e --Instead of inserting your hook only on top of the stitch, yarn over and insert your hook under the whole stitch.(i.e in between the two stitches).

Chain 2.

2 Double Crochets in each stitch around.

Slip stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.

24 stitches.

Round 3:-

Chain 2. 1 Double Crochet in the same stitch.

2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.

Repeat*(1DC, 2DC).

Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.

36 Stitches.

Round 4:-

Chain 2. 

1 Double Crochet each in 2 stitches.

2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.

Repeat*(1DC*2, 2DC)

Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.

48 Stitches.

Round 5:-

Chain 2. 

1 Double Crochet each in 3 stitches.

2 Double Crochets in the next stitch.

Repeat*(1DC*3 2DC)

Slip Stitch on top of the first Double Crochet.

Change the yarn color while making the Slip Stitch.

60 Stitches.

I Stopped with the increases with this round. If you wish to make it larger, then continue with the increase rounds till the size needed.

Start each round with Chain 2(Not counted as a stitch)

Round 6--DC*4, 2DC in next stitch(72) 

Round 7--DC*5, 2DC in next stitch(84) 

Round 8--DC*6, 2DC in next stitch(96)

Round 9--DC*7, 2DC in next stitch(108)

 .....and so on.

Border:-

**This round we will be working Into the Stitch.

Chain 2.

1 Double Crochet V - Stitch(i.e. 2 Double Crochets , Chain 2 , 2 Double Crochets-all in the same stitch)

Skip 2 Stitches.

Repeat(1 DC V-St, Sk2)

Once you reach the end make a Slip Stitch on top if the First Double Crochet and Weave off.
