How to Make a Terrarium With a Running Waterfall

This is a moss terrarium I made, it has live moss, a running waterfall, and requires no care or maintenance at all!

A water fountain pump, clay, silicone, coconut shavings, hot glue, plumbing, moss, and paint

get a container ready, than cut off the top and drill a hole through the container.

Cut the original plug off and thread the wire through the hole cut in the container than wire the new plug into place

cover the pump in clay but leave the part where the water goes into open, than add another layer of clay, on this layer I rubbed water on my clay to make it more smooth, after that paint the sides of the clay various shades of blue for a water like effect, then apply a layer of silicone to the part you just painted, wait for that to dry, than apply a coat to the top of the pump and sprinkle coconut shavings over it (you can also use dirt), before you let this dry make sure the part of the pump that spits out the water is open.

First, get at least 5 inches of tubing and use a connector to connect the tubing to the pump, then hot glue the tubing to the wall of the terrarium and cover it in coconut shavings.

First model a piece of clay into your waterfall, make sure to curve the top so it will fit on the side of the jar and carve in the river, than silicone the inside of the river and after that silicone outside of the river and add coconut shavings do the same to the bottom, than you can epoxy the top in place.

Use a hole saw to cut diagonally into the container, then put moss on all the coconut shaving covered parts then cover the open part in plastic wrap.

You’re done, now you have a magical moss garden to enjoy!
