How to View Augmented Reality on Your Computer

In this tutorial, I'll show you how to view augmented reality on your computer using only a webcam,  paper, and the internet.

You will need...
     1. A computer/laptop
     2. A printer
     3. Internet access
     4. Blank paper
     5. A webcam

As of right now, there are only 2 websites that do this feature...

  The first one is Experience-the-enterprise.com
          In this site, you use your piece of paper to watch a virtual 3-D tour of the Enterprise in Star Trek.




1. Go to experience-the-enterprise.com

2. Click on Download/Print to get the the picture you need for the hologram.

3. Print the picture, then click on Begin Tour.

4. Select what camera you want to use (options on right).

5. Hold to picture up to the camera and begin the tour.

The other website is by GE. Here, you can view augmented reality on what we use as alternate energy.

   There are 2 different things that you can view. The wind turbines, and the solar panels.

1. Go to http://ge.ecomagination.com/smartgrid/?c_id=share#/augmented_reality

2. Go to getting started, and click on Print One Here.

3. Print the picture, then click Either Launch Wind Turbne, or Launch Solar Energy.

4. Select what camera you want to use (options on right).

5. Click Allow and begin.
