How to Make a "Lemon-zine" in Tinkercad (mashup)

Finsihed Lemonzine.PNG

Hello!
I am a home-school student soon to start 8th grade. My mom/teacher gave me an assignment to design a object that was a combination of two objects in the TinkerCAD software, so I could develop skills in 3D modeling. She also assigned me to write an Instructable to help me gain better grammar and writing skills. In this Instructable I will be showing you what I call a "Lemon-zine". It is a limousine that has been squashed in a lemon. Hope you like this Instructables. Please vote for me in the Student Design contest.

Limo

To first make the "Lemon-zine" you need to go into the Tinkercad gallery and search for a limousine (I found this one). Select copy and tinker and a new project will appear with the limo. Next, move the limo out of the way and now we can start making the lemon.

Start with a sphere from the Basic Shapes menu. Using the sizing squares in the corners, size the sphere to your liking to appear more "lemon" like. Now take two spheres from the Basic Shapes menu and position them on both side of the elongated sphere. Shift click each shape and then hit the align icon in the top right corner of the page. Select the dots according to the graphic and hit group. All the pieces are one but we are missing the most important part of a lemon- its yellow color. To make it yellow, select the lemon and click the red circle in the shape menu and lots of colors will appear- select yellow. Your lemon is complete!

Finalizing the Lemonzine

Finally, drag the lemon over to the limo. Shift click the sizing squares to size everything evenly. Now size it up to wrap around the limo, make sure the wheels and hood are showing. Next shift click all the pieces and click align. Everything should be centered around the lemon. Finally, click group and all the pieces will become one but everything is a solid color. Select the color icon and underneath all the colors will be a multi-color box, check it and the colors will look like it did before you grouped everything.

Conclusion

The "Lemon-zine" is now finished and it looks good. I don't recommend 3D printing this. It would require a lot of supports and it doesn't have a real use, besides making everyone that sees it crack up in laughter. Hope you liked this Instructables. Thanks for reading!

Happy Printing!
