How to Make a Necklace With Soda Can Tabs and Inner Bicycle Tube

In this tutorial we will show you how to make a necklace with an inner tube of a bicycle and soda can tabs. We hope you like the instructable. The materials used:

- 24 Soda can tabs

- Cleaned inner tube of a bike

- Silver colored chain extender

- 12 silver tone square rivet studs

- Silver colored lobster clasp

- Silver colored jump oval rings

-13 Silver colored jump rings 5 mm

- A square lever Punch – Dovecraft

- Belt perforator

- Eyelet plier

- Cutting pliers, flat nose pliers and round nose pliers

Punch Out Squares From an Inner Tube

Take the inner tube of a bicycle and cut it open. Clean it with water and soap and use it to cut out your squares. You need a total of 24 squares.

Construct Your Pieces

Use a belt perforator to cut out the size of the rivet stud in the inner tube square. The bottom of the stud is the base, than mount a square, 2 soda can tabs, another square and the second part of the stud. Use the eyelet plier to attach it all.

Attach the Pieces

Use 2 oval and a round jump ring to attach the pieces. Attach a lobster clasp at one end and a chain extender at the other end. Voilà your necklace is done. We hope you like our instructable!
