In under 90 minutes and for less than $15, you can make a no-sew hopscotch mat entirely from felt! Not only will your kids love playing, but this cute mat can double as a reading carpet, teaching your children their numbers as they read.

The materials are simple:

  • One 2-yard piece of felt
  • 15 pieces of felt in colors of your choice - 5 of these will be used for your numbers (2 per sheet), and 10 of these will be used for the hopscotch squares
  • Glue - I used hot glue
  • Number Pattern
  • Fabric Scissors

The instructions are simple too:

  • First, lay out your large piece of felt and place the 10 felt pieces in a pattern you like.
  • Then, cut 10 of felt pieces into squares, if they aren't already squares.
  • Next, cut the numbers out of the remaining 5 felt pieces, using the number templates. Free printables on our blog - http://www.justmeasuringup.com/blog/how-to-make-a-...

  • Then glue the numbers to the squares.

  • After that, glue the squares to the two-yard piece of green felt.
