How to Make a Pendant From ANY .svg File.

Hey everyone!

Today I'm going to show you how to take an image, and turn it into a cool pendant!!!

For this tutorial, i'm going to be using a headphone image as an example.

Autodesk 123Design is a free 3D modeling program that can be downloaded using the link below.

Once you've downloaded it open the .exe file and go through the installation, this may take a while.

Once that's done installing open your web browser.

Next, type in the name of the thing you want to turn into a pendant then add svg to the end, for example, "shark tooth svg"

Then, find and download a suitable svg file.

The easy part is over, NOW comes the hard part!!!!!

First, open Autodesk 123Design.

Next, hover your cursor over the top-left corner of the Autodesk 123Design window, a drop-down menu will appear.

Finally, hover over "Import" then "SVG as solid"

If your solid does not look like the one on the picture above, then don't be worried; just hover over the "Construct" button on the top toolbar, then click "Extrude".

Next, select each part of the image one by one and pull the arrow down to a size you think is good, or if you're lucky then your solid will all be in one image and you can extrude it down all at once.

Once you're done extruding, it's time to start combining.

Hover your mouse over the "Combine" button, then click "Merge"

Select the biggest object in your solid then combine it with the second biggest object, do this until all the pieces move around as one.

Now your pendant is done!!!!

Just hover over the top-left corner, then hover over "Export as 3D", then click "STL"

Save in the location you want, and print the STL file!!!!

Now you know how to make and have made and printed your very own customized pendant!!!
