How to Make a Personal Mini Desk Fan Out of an Old Computer – Fits in Your Pocket
I'll be showing you how to make a personal mini desk fan out of an old computer. A bonus is that it even fits in your pocket. This is a very simple project, so not much experience or expertise is needed. So let's begin!
Supplies
Some materials you need:
- A computer fan
- 9v battery
- Scissors
- Knife
- Some sort of glue
- Paper clips
Get Your Fan
The first step is to obviously obtain a fan. I got one out of an old PC power supply.
Cutting the Wires
Cut the wires to an appropriate length.
Grab Your 9V Battery
Grab your 9V battery, figure out where you want to place it on the battery, glue the area where you want it, and then finally place the battery there.
Setting It Up
You don't have to do this, but you can grab a paper clip, wrap the wire around it, and place it on its proper terminal. (This allows for a permanent connection.) Then the other wire acts like the on/off button or switch. Just place it on the proper terminal to turn it on, and take it off to turn it off. Remember, the black wire goes to the negative end of the terminal and the red goes to the positive.
Your Finished!
Your now finished with the fan! As you can see, the fan is similar in size to the pictured wallet, so you can carry this in your pocket.
Once the 9V battery dies, just go through the process again with a new battery in its place.
