Here are the essential things you will need to make one pizza sandwich:

Toaster oven
2 slices of bread
Cheese
Pizza sauce
Pepperoni slices

Preheat Toaster Oven

Preheat toaster to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

In the meantime, assemble your sandwich. Put a dollop, or spoonful, of pizza sauce on each slices of bread. I usually use white bread but you can use any type of bread. Rye bread or pumpernickel are good substitutes because they are less processed than white bread and provide more nutrients.
I prefer Ragu Pizza Sauce because it contains the herbs that gives the distinct pizza flavors. However, you can make your own pizza sauce or plain tomato sauce is sufficient too.

Cheese Assemblage

Now you get to put cheese on top of the pizza sauce.

I picked shredded mozzarella cheese because it is cheap and melts faster than say sliced cheese. Mozzarella cheese has a mild cheese flavor that is comptaible with most people. You can most definitely substitute mozzarella with any other kind of cheese. Pepper jack cheese will give your pizza sandwich a zingy flavor. Cheddar cheese will give a sharp bite and a fun yellow color.

Pizza and sandwiches can be super versatile because you can put any toppings on them. In this particular instructable, I choose pepperoni because it is my favorite pizza topping.
If you are a vegetarian, you can replace pepperoni with fresh basil, pineapple, onions with mushroom, or sweet bell peppers.
If you are a meat lover, any type ham cut into bite size pieces, cooked sausages, chicken pieces, or even anchovies.
The possibilities are endless. You can mix and match your options to create your own special pizza sandwich.

Heat It Up

Place both slices of bread into the heated toaster oven until the cheese is melted and toppings are heated thoroughly. Before cheese melt, the shredded cheese is separated. After cheese melts, the cheese becomes one whole entity.

Time to Enjoy

Be careful taking your slices of bread out the toaster oven. The product will be very hot. To complete the sandwich, put the two slices of bread together.
You can also dip your sandwiches into leftover pizza sauce.

Thank you for reading my Instructable. Enjoy your pizza sandwich :)
