This is my first Instructable, so bare with me here. I'm gonna add some pretty cool Instructables, once i fix my camera. Anyways, back to this. I'm making this for impatient people who don't want to wait after going to shutdown, or who just want to scare their friends by making their computer shutdown. xD

Right click your desktop, then new, then shortcut(picture 1). A window should then pop up(picture 2). In the text box, type:

shutdown -s -t ## -c "type what message you want to pop up here, and leave the quotation marks up"

the ## is where you type in how much time you want to give before the computer shuts down.

After you click next, type whatever name you want the file to have there.

Hiding Your Little Secret for Pranking (optional)

right click the shortcut you just made, then click properties. You should see a button that says 'change icon', click it. If a pop up that says 'The file %windir%\system32\shutdown.exe contains no icons.' or something similar, then just hit 'Ok'. Double click any of the icons in there, or if you want to use the icon from another program, like a game, then click browse, find the shortcut of the game u want to use, then right click it inside the 'browse' window. Click 'properties' then click change icon, copy the address from the top and then close that window. paste the address you just copied in the same place on the change icon screen for the shutdown shortcut. then double click the ion you wanted from in there.

If this is too confusing, just let me know, and i can try to make some sort of video, or try to explain it a little better
