Today, I'm going to show you how to make a Rubik's Cube inside the online 3D design software, TinkerCad!

Make the First Piece

First, all you have to do is drag a box as its default size onto your 'Workplane'.

Make the First Row

Now you just need to copy one of the squares by highlighting it and pressing Ctrl + C. Then paste it using Ctrl + V. You can now use the arrow keys to align the second cube. Repeat this again to get three small cubes.

Make the First Layer

Now do the same step as you did in step two. Highlight the row using Ctrl + C and paste it with Ctrl + V. Now align with the arrow keys until you have one face.

Now Colour the First Layer

Capture 4.PNG

Now colour the first layer by highlighting the whole first layer and making the colour black by going to the top right corner as displayed in the image. Make sure you colour it black as this is only going to be the internal.

Make the Whole Cube

Now copy and paste the whole first layer and paste it. Align it with arrow keys so it looks like there is only 1 layer. Then move it up with the up arrow on the transform controls. Move it up until it is sitting on top of the first layer, correctly aligned and repeat for the third layer.

Make the Sticker

Now, get a cube and using the transform controls make it 2.00cm thick and bring each side in by 2cm.

Orient the Sticker Correctly

Now, rotate the sticker 90 degrees using transform controls so it looks like what it does in the image.

Put the Sticker Onto the Cube

Using the arrow keys position the sticker on the cube. Make sure that the sticker is not floating and that it is attached to the cube as in the image.

Complete One Face.

Now, copy and paste the stickers and position them on the cube using arrow keys. Make sure you have put the stickers on correctly as in the image. Colour the stickers to your choice.

Put Stickers on Every Face

Now repeat the previous steps and match stickers onto each of the cube's faces using copy and paste.

NOW YOUR COMPLETE!
