Hello! Today I will be showing you step by step how to make a self-watering planter for your greenery. It will hold approximately two plants.

Supplies

A 3d modeling software/program (I use tinkercad in this tutorial)

The Base

1. For the base we will create two wedges approximately 22 cm x 35 cm. Space them 77 cm apart and in the middle, place a 77 cm x 35 cm rectangle. Finally group the shapes all together.

Adding the Holders

Next you will create two 27.50 cm x 28 cm half spheres that will serve as the actual plant holders. Turn them into holes rather than solids. Place them into the base. Afterwards create a 94 cm x 4 cm cylinder and turn it into a hole. Place it into the base as well. Then group it all together.

First create a cylinder that is hollow in the middle and closed off on both ends. This cylinder will be about the same hole length and width that the base was indented with, approximately 77 cm x 4 cm. Then group it all together. Next make two 6 cm x 3.28 cm spheres for holes that lead into the pots. Place them anywhere on the tube. Group it all together. Afterwards make a 4 cm x 4 cm hold cylinder that is 23.75 cm tall. Group. Then create a 4 cm x 4 cm tube that is 19 cm tall, and place it in the same spot that you placed the previous tube. Next create any shape that is hollow in the middle and open at the top, I created a diamond shaped funnel for example. Place it on top of the tube and group.

Fit the auto-watering system into the groove we created in the base. Finally group it all together and BOOM! You have now finished your self-watering planter!
