How To Make a Spline Jig (Use with Table Saw OR Router)

In this Instructables, I will be discussing how I made this Spline Jig which can be used with a table saw or router! Take a look at the YouTube video for a full build video on how I made this jig!

Cutting the Pine to the Required Lengths

For the first step I used some scrap Pine and cut the relevant pieces needed. You will need 4x pieces for the back, 1x larger board for the face and 2x pieces for the work to lye in.

Glueing the Pieces Together

I then glued the four back pieces together and planned them to make sure it was all square. I then screwed and glued the main face to the four pieces.

Angled Pieces

Using the radial arm saw and my mitre jig, I cut a 45 degree angle on both boards. I then made sure theses pieces were touching at the bottom. Over at the router I higherd the bit and took a few passes to get rid of the bottom bit. Then the jig was complete!
