How to Make a Sponge Cake

Hi guys, this is my first instructable, I'm sorry about the crappy camera quality >.<,it will improve a bit throughout the tutorial. I hope you guys like it and please comment honest feedback if you have any:)

• Scissors (strong enough to cut a sponge)
• A sponge
• A paintbrush
• The colour of your cake filling (I chose pink, you can also use paint or the filling but texta worked better for me)
• Something to put the paint in
• Brown paint (this will be your base colour)

Cut your sponge into a triangle.

Squeeze brown paint into your container. You can use something else instead of paint but if you are using a yellow sponge, brown texta goes really bad with the yellow. Also, the paint does not have to be acrylic.

Paint the top, and half of your edges brown:)

Then colour in/paint the other half of the edges, your filling.

Then you can add any sort of topping you like:) I chose to just put little bits of sponge on the top of mine but you can do icing, a birthday candle, etc.
