How to Make a Water Level Detector to Save Water Expenses

This is a small project anyone with electronics can do at home to save water 💦


Supplies

this project will require some materials

  1. Battery
  2. Battery connector
  3. Speaker
  4. Two both sides graphite tipped pencils (long graphite tip)
  5. one wire (black colour is preferred)
  6. One ruler (Or Two Sticks)
  7. one rubber bands
  8. electrical tape is optional (preferred 3/4 inches width)

Attaching the Battery,pencils to the Ruler (or Two Sticks)

In this step you will have to attach your battery to the back of the ruler

  1. Firstly, lay the battery close to the top of the ruler (on the backside of the ruler).


Rubber Ban to Permanently Attach the Battery to the Ruler.

  1. Now, now put a rubber band around both the ruler and the battery (2nd picture above).

How to Attach the Pencils

Attach one pencil on each side by placing them next to the battery in the rubber band and make the pencil on the side where the negative (black) wire is, lower and the pencil on the opposite side higher (3rd picture above).

Attaching the Speaker

The positive wire of the battery should connect to the positive side of the speaker.

the negative side of the speaker should be connected to the pencil next to it.

(This is shown above in the picture)

Lastly Attaching the Wire to the Pencil

Attach the negative wire of the battery to the pencil which is not connected to anything.

(For the connections you can put electrical tape, but it is optional) (In the above picture)
