How to Make an Origami Lotus

To make an origami lotus, all you need is a 6x6 sheet of origami paper. This should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.

The First Fold

Fold the paper in half diagonally, from the top left corner to the bottom right corner. Repeat with the top right corner and the bottom left corner. Then, unfold it and lay it flat.

The Second Fold

Fold all corners into the center.

The Third Fold

Repeat step 2.

The Fourth Fold

Flip the paper over, and fold the corners into the center again.

Making the Petals

Grab the flap that is underneath each of the corners. Keep one thumb in the center of the flower, and use the other to hold down the corner of the flower. Pull the flap underneath up and over while pushing down on the corner. Repeat for all corners.

The Second Set of Petals

Pull the bottom flaps underneath the flower upwards and push down on the center, to form more petals.

The Last Set of Petals

Repeat step 7 with the bottom flaps.
