How to Make an Origami Penguin
-For this tutorial, all you need is a square piece of paper and your hands!
-You can have the paper colored or not since its up to you how you design the penguin
-If you don't get it the first time, don't worry! Origami isn't something everyone gets immediately
Begin With Corner Facing You
Put the square flat on the table and have a corner point at you (If using colored paper, colored side should face up)
Bottom Corner to Top Corner
Take the bottom corner and fold it to the top, crease. It should resemble the triangle above
Left Corner to Top Corner
Bring the left corner to the top and fold. Crease and unfold this.
Top Corner to Crease Line
Take the first layer of the top corner and fold it to touch the crease line you created in the previous step
Turn Over and Repeat
Repeating Last Step turn over the paper and do the same step of taking the remaining layer of the top corner and bringing it to the crease line. It should mirror the fold on the other side
Unfold Center Crease
Unfold the entire piece of paper (the center crease you made in the 2nd step). Turn 90 degrees clockwise or make sure the wide end is towards you
Bottom Corner to Middle
Take the bottom corner and fold it to the middle. It should hit the meeting point of the two crease lines
Fold in Half
Fold the paper in half (longways), left to right. You will be basically folding it in the way that you had it two steps ago
Fold Top Corner Forward
Take the top point and fold it so that it is pointing forward crease and unfold. This will become the head of the penguin
Turn Over and Repeat
Repeating last step flip the penguin over and again, fold the top point forward crease and unfold on this side too
Unfold and Fold Forward
Unfold the design down the middle enough so that you can take the top corner and fold it forward (away from you) at the crease that you created in the previous two steps. This is a tricky step, don't get frustrated if it is confusing
Finished Product
And there you have it, a beautiful origami penguin! Hope you enjoyed making it!
