How to Make an Origami Stellated Octahedron

I will teach you how to make an origami stellated octahedron.

12 origami sonobe units. If you don't know how to make an origami sonobe unit, visit my instructable on how to make one.

1.) Take two sonobe units and find a pocket on one and a tab on the other (reference to the picture) and put the tab as far as it can go into the pocket
2.) Look at the 2nd picture to make sure yours is right so far
3.) Take another sonobe unit and put one of its tabs in one of the open pockets on the structure.
4.) The last tab might be underneath the sonobe unit you just put in so take it out from underneath and put the tab in the last remaining pocket.
5.) Make 3 more

1.) Pick one pyramid to be the center and then put the other 3 around that one, connecting one of the outside ones tabs with one of the middle ones pockets
2.) Carefully flip the structure over

There might be gaps in some parts of your structure (reference to the picture) To get those out, carefully put your fingers in the gap and grab the tab that's underneath. Then put that tab in the nearest pocket. Do that for all of the gaps and you have successfully made an origami stellated octahedron. Congratulations!
