Hello my name is Estrella Hernandez but people call me Star. I'm in 11th grade and this is my instructable about how to make a butter grater.

I used Tinker Cad and Onshape to make my design and the supplies I used was a clip-latch, 3D printer with filament, and metal mesh formed into a semi-circular shape.

step one I thought of what could be efficient and practical to an everyday routine. For me I enjoy toast bread and butter on top but it's always difficult to get butter on it because the distribution of butter on bread is not right enough when its cold solid butter, so that made me think what if u get a metal strainer to shave the butter making it easier to melt on the toast but making this item fit in ur hand to also make the proccess quick and easy for a busy morning. The distribution of shaved butter is much better than cutting it with knife as well.

So I got to work and did some brainstorming and searched for some inspiration or anything similar to my invention and things like this would pop up but not as my idea, so I got to work and started to do it on Tinker Cad and used Onshape as well.

first I picked a ball on Tinker Cad, made it 2.5 inches circle and then I put a mesh on top to make it like a grader and after I had that ready I got a clip-latch to put on it so you can open it and access the butter.
