How to Make the Perfect Fire
Be sure to have a save and easy to use place, to start this family friendly fire. Be sure to be over 18 years of age or have an adult present with you to start the fire. If you have all of these things then you're ready to begin the fire building process. Have Fun!
Make Sure You Have All the Necessary Materials to Build the Fire
What I used to make this fire:
1 x Duraflame log
3 x Logs of wood
4 x sheets of newspaper
1 x Lighter
1 x Fireplace
Get the Newspaper Ready
In this step I took 4 sheets of newspaper and crunched them up into a lightly packed ball so they could fit under the fireplace grate (What the logs are placed on).I did this to give the fire a natural start and not use flammable oils which can sometimes end up out of control. This also helps reuse that old newspaper you want to get rid of.
Add the Duraflame Log
Place the Duraflame log closer to the back so you can place wood in front the Duraflame which causes more heat to travel forwards. The reason I use Duraflame is that it keeps the fire burning steadily for about five hours.
Place the Actual Wood
Place one log in front of the Duraflame and one log in back of the Duraflame, this helps keep the fire burning. After you have done so place the third piece of wood on top balanced on all 3 of the logs, so that it can be lit quickly by the other then logs. This helps keep the fire burning and creates the most heat, which helps reduce heating costs.
Light the Fire
Be careful while doing this where you open the flu and have an adult present. Once you follow these rules light the corners of the paper at the bottom and sides of the Duraflame, this causes the whole log to light. This also helps increase the amount of heat and fire you get from this project.
Sit Back and Relax
Once you follow all these steps sit back and enjoy the fire with friends and family. Enjoy!
