How to Make the Tic Tac Splat Game!
By: Lucia Casacci
Step 1! Create and Rename
Go to tinker cad and login! When you make a new project make sure the first thing you do is change the name. I suggest doing your first and last name and what you are creating. For example, mine is Lucia Casacci’s tic tac splat.
Step 2! Box
Add you first shape which is going to be a box. You can make the dimensions anything you want but the dimensions I used were 130 Length and Width and the height was 15.
Step 3! Hole
You are going to add a hole which is the checkered shape and you can pick it as a box hole or circle hole. For this project you are going to pick the square hole and resize it to have a thin or thick layer of box surrounding it. Make sure you lift it off the grid so the hole is not through the whole box only part of it.
Step 4! Combine
You are going to combine the box and hole as one. To do this select both shapes by tapping on them and than press on the icon in the top right corner which looks like a square and circle. When you finish combining your box should look like this.
Step 5! Bars
You are going to add 4 boxes and resize the width to 9.25 and place them onto the board. Two should be going diagonal and the other two going verticle. The length of the bars does not matter as long as they are not going too far to the point where you can see them outside of the box and they are not short enough where there is a space between the box and bar.
Step 6! X’s and O’s
Now it’s time to build the X’s and O’s. To make the ‘X’ you are going to add 2 boxes and resize them to bars. You are going to make them cross and than combine them by using the combine butto in the top right corner. You should make 3 X’s and 3 O’s. To make a ‘O’ select the cylinder and a cylinder hole. You should resize the hole to have a thin layer or circle surrounding it.
GOOD JOB! You Have Created a 3D Tic Tac Splat Board and Game!
This is what it should look like before 3D printing. Hope this helped you make the Tic Tac Splat game! Thank you.
