Here are the materials you're gonna need!

-Blank white canvas -Cup of water

-Black paint -Palette

-White paint -Big paintbrush

-Dark blue paint -Medium-sized paintbrush

-Purple paint or dark violet -(very)small paint brush

-Aqua paint -Tape (optional)

*Personally, the canvas I used was 8 x 10 in. as for the paint, acrylic is preferred

*(Also, excuse the condition of my materials from the picture, my supplies are just well-loved!)

Place your canvas flat on the table (if you want, you can tape it to the table) and wet your big paintbrush a bit. Have some towels or paper towels around in case it gets messy!

Pour/squeeze all the paints I listed onto separate parts of your palette

Use the black paint on your palette or squeeze some paint directly on the canvas and start coating every single side of the canvas

Clean the big paintbrush you just used in the water, dip it into the purple paint and start dabbing the color diagonally from one end of the canvas to the other sporadically then, add a little white to the paint and do the same(it doesn’t have to be a perfect line). And you can always go back in with black paint to clean up any mistakes!

With the same brush you just used, dip it into the dark blue paint and dab the paint around the purple paint on the canvas

With the same brush, dip it into the aqua paint and dab it diagonally across the canvas on top of the purple paint. You can always go back in with the previous colors to lighten or darken the art

When the paint has dried, dip your medium-sized paint brush into the white paint. Then, hold your paintbrush upright (the bristles facing you) and with your thumb, pull back the bristles and flick the paint onto the canvas.

Finishing Touches

Finally, with your small brush make little stars or shooting stars. Shooting stars can be made by making a swift motion of a line on your canvas. Remember, when making a galaxy, not everything has to be perfect; keep your arms loose and have fun with it! so, now you’re(hopefully) done and know how to paint a galaxy!
