How to Play Story Slams

slap stories pic.JPG
Slap Stories is A Great Time-Killer to play on rainy days. I liken it to a combination of Uno and Story-Telling. This really brings people together, and is so easy to learn and add your own family twist.  So, Lets get started!

Print This Stuff Out and Cut It Apart

This is probably the hardest part. Download the word files I attached and cut them. (I used a paper cutter, but that's up to you)

Play!

How to Play:

The Object of the game is to get rid of all your cards. First, divide the deck between everybody equally. (Or Half of it, if you're playing with a group of 2 or 3 people) Then start a story. You could Google for story-starters, but you can just start one from your own mind. (and Deck) Then, you must put down as many cards as you can within 5 sentences. First one out wins.

That was easy, right?

Variations

You Could Conceivably make your own deck, or add to mine. Here are some ideas:

Center your deck around a genre (Sci-Fi, Action)
Center your deck around a TV show, book, or movie that everyone is familiar with.
Use only single-word cards.
Use only action cards.

Or you could even twist the rules a little:

Find a way to be able to gain cards back
Limit the number of cards you can put down in one turn
Place a time-limit
Increase or decrease the sentience-limit
Make Teams
