Where to Place Fingers

On the neck of your guitar there are little rectangles and these are called frets. (Numbered in the picture)

In order to play the G chord we will be using frets 2 and 3.

Now since you know which frets, I will tell you which strings.
The strings are numbered as shown from 6-1.

So from left to right. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Now the G Chord

With what we just learned you will place your first finger(pointer finger) on fret 2 string 5.

Now take your second finger(Middle Finger)

Place it on Fret 3, String 6.

Now take your third finger(Ring finger)

Place it on fret 3, string 1.

Put Together and Have Fun

Now place all 3 fingers in there desired spots at the same time.

Apply a little bit of pressure so the notes ring out.
