How to Rebuild a Washing Machine Transmission

If your washer is not working and you already tried all the simple fixes in my How To Fix a Washing Machine Instructable, then this is your next step. It only costs $16 for a rebuild kit and $6 for a bottle of gear oil. It is messy, but satisfying :)

Steps:

- Take apart washer

- Remove transmission

- Open transmission

- Dump out old oil

- Take out old parts

- Put in new parts

- Put in new oil

- Button everything back up

- Done.
