Having an inject printer is a hell of a lot maintenance and once your ink in the printer is over the printer ink costs almost half the cost of the printer and if you buy new cartridges a few times you will end up spending the cost of a new printer.

Luckily, these printer cartridges can be refilled if you do it right, so in this instructable I'm going to show you how to fill standard inject cartridges.

So lets get started...

Tools and Components

To start of with you need -

  • A bottle of printer ink (you can get this for cheap on eBay)
  • A syringe
  • Some tissues

To start of with take the syringe and suck some ink into it from the ink bottle. I used a 1ml syringe (I just had this in my house) you can use a higher volume one. A standard cartridges would use about 2ml or 3ml of ink so you will not need to completely fill it.

Filling the Ink

You need to get the cartridge out of the printer tray and there will be a hole on it hidden by the model sticker use a screwdriver to find the hole or peel off the sticker. Fill in about 3ml of ink, you don't want to fill it up to the nozzle as the ink would start dripping causing a bad print.

Replace the cartridge into the tray and that's it.
