How to Repair and Re-glue Heelys Shoes

Heelys are unique shoes with wheels embedded in the heels, offering both fun and functionality. However, over time, the sole or upper parts may start to separate due to wear and tear. This guide provides a step-by-step approach to repairing and re-gluing your Heelys to extend their lifespan.

Supplies

Cyanoacrylate adhesive (super glue)

Sandpaper (medium grit)

Cloth or paper towels

Protective gloves

Clamps or heavy objects for pressing

Clean the Affected Area

Before applying any adhesive, ensure that the areas to be glued are clean and free from dirt or old glue residues. Use sandpaper to gently roughen the surfaces, which helps in better adhesion. Wipe the areas with a damp cloth and let them dry completely.

Apply the Adhesive

Carefully apply a thin layer of cyanoacrylate adhesive to one of the surfaces. Avoid using excessive glue, as it can seep out and create a mess. Press the two surfaces together firmly.
