How to Set Up an Ice Fishing Rod.

Hello, my name is Jonathan Kriese. Have you ever found yourself low on money for food in the winter months? Well, I can help you with that problem. I’ve been an avid ice fisherman since I could walk. I can teach you how to feed you and your family for cheap this winter. I’m going to show you in steps how to rig up an ice fishing rod to catch almost anything to eat. Knowing how to provide for you and your family off the land instead of going to the grocery store will save you hundreds of dollars a month.

Supplies

Supplies you will need is Ice fishing rod, reel, fishing line (if none is provided on the reel), slip bobber knots and beads (comes in the same pack), small to medium size slip knot bobber, small clip-on lead weights, and a bare hook or a small tungsten jig.

Knot

Thread the knot onto the line then pull the knot off of the plastic piece but makes sure that you are still allowed to take off the black plastic piece otherwise you will have to start all over.

Bead

Thread the line through the small hole of the bead.

Bobber

Thread the slip bobber onto the line by putting the line through the top of the top and pull out of the bottom.

Hook

You can tie on your hook by threading the line through the eyelet of the hook, then take the line and wrap it around the main line 5-7 times and feed through the tiny hole and the top of the eyelet, then pull tight.

Weight

Squeeze the tiny lead weight about 3-8 inches above the hook. be sure that the line is in the slot and you are not able to pull the weight off of the line.
