How to Setup a Baitcaster Rod and Reel

Welcome to my instructable. Reading my instructions hopefully you will learn how to setup a baitcaster

• Baitcaster reel
• A baitcaster rod
• fishing line
• Tape
• Scissors
• fishing lure

First of all take your baitcaster reel hold it in one hand tske you rod and hold it in the other hand. Put the back of the reel on the bottom of your rod where theres a tightening thing

Put the line through any eye of the rod so line goes on the reel straight

Put the end of the line throught the small holes on the reel. If your reel doesnt have the holes just wrap the line around the spiny part in the middle and just tie a simple knot. Put tape over the knot

Then have someone put a pen/pencil through the middle of the spool of the line and just start reeling the line up. Reel up the line untill its about a 1/2 of a centimeter from the top of the spool

Put the line through all of the eyes until you go through all of the eyes.

Take your lure and put the line through the metal loop. Then stick the line through the metal loop again so you have a loop made out of line

Take the tag end of line and wrap it around the main line 7 times

Once you wrap it around the line you will have 2 loops of line next to the lure then stick the tag end through the two loops and pull the tag end and the main line oppposite directions the lick it adn pull itn tighter.
