FAQ's

Q: How far should the cards overlap when I let them go?

A: You want to make sure that the cards overlap enough that you can push the two decks together into one single deck again. As long as the cards overlap at least a little bit, you have achieved the objective. However, if even a few of the cards don't overlap, you will find it much more difficult to square up the cards.

Q: How do I release the cards one at a time for a better shuffle?

A: Practice, practice practice! With some experience, you will get to the point where the cards will roll off your fingers individually and evenly alternate like you see in Step 6. Don't be discouraged if your shuffle isn't smooth the first time, just do it a couple more times and your cards will still be well shuffled!
