How to Solve a 3x3 Rubik's Cube

Hello. If you want to solve a Rubik's cube, you come to the right instructables. My fastest solve was 25.82 seconds. I know it's kinda slow but its fast for me. I used this pattern to solve it. I hope you solve the way I solve it. Also, I'll try to make it easy to solve it. I recommend taking notes so you can solve it and memorize it. Rubik's cube

Before we begin, we must know where to move. As you can see in the picture, there are some turns you need to know. The Up face (U), Left face (L), Front face (F), Down face (D), Right face (R), and Back face (B). To move on the opposite side, you must add this symbol " ' " (i.e I want to turn the Right face down instead of up. We put it R') We called this "Prime" Like R' (Prime). You can move 2 spaces at one like R2 to move Right face twice up. I recommend clicking "9 more images" so you can see what to move.

There are many ways to get a cross. I always to use this method. You always start with the cross first. Try and get the cross. If you got a white cross, continue to the next step.

Look at my first picture. I got 1 white color on the green side. I move L' to get the middle white. Next, I see another white on the pink side. Now we move it to R. I see another white on the blue side. So I move L'. Lastly, we see another white so I move F', R, F. So now, we made a white cross.

Continue to the next step

This next step is to make the same color. As you can see on my cube, I got green and blue, orange and orange. Our goal is to match the same color. I see that a pink and a pink is close so I move U'. We can see that the blue and pink is the same but not the orange and green.

In order to solve this, do this move. L', U, L, U', L'

If color are opposite like two color match but straight not diagonal, do this move. L, R', U2, L', R

Now our middle and color is the same.

Continue to the next step

For the next step, you need to match all the white sides with the correct colors. Do the same thing until you got the first layer complete

If the first picture the same as yours, move this. U, R, U', R'

If the second picture the same as yours, move this. R, U2, R', U', R, U, R'

If the third picture the same as yours, move this. R, U, R'

Continue to the next step

This step is a little difficult so I'll explain as easy as I can. Make sure the color is the same like the first picture.

If yours is the same as the first picture, move this. U' L', U, L, U, F, U', F'

If yours is the same as the second picture, move this. U, R, U', R', U', F', U, F

If yours is the same as the third picture, move this. F', U, F, U, R, U', R'

(Continue the third move) after you move the third picture, do the same move for the first move or the second move.

Continue to the next step after finishing solving this middle layer.

This have a lot of step in order to solve the yellow layer. There are a lot of areas to memorize to solve the yellow side. If you have one yellow, do the first move as shown on the bottom. Do the first move exactly where the yellow is at. If either have the second, third or fourth, do the second move exactly where the yellow is at. Keep doing it until you get all yellow.

If you have the same thing as the first 2 pictures, move this. F, R, U, R', U', F'

If you have the same thing as the last 3 pictures, move this. R, U, R', U, R, U2, R'

Continue to the next step if you finished the yellow layer

There are many ways to solve the last layer. If you have the same thing as the first picture, do the first move on the opposite side. If yours do not have the same as the first picture, do the first move and after that do it again.

If you have the same thing as the first picture, move this. (Be careful before moving because you have to do it on the opposite side) R', F, R', B2, R, F', R', B2, R2

Continue the next step

This is the last layer before you solve it! There are 4 ways to solve it but you have to do it correctly.

If yours look like the second picture, move this. F2, U', L, R', F2, R, L', U', F2

If yours look like the third picture, move this. F2, U, R', L, F2, R, L', U, F2

If yours look like the middle right 2 pictures, move this. And make sure you turn it exactly where the second to last picture is at. R, U, R', U', R', F, R2, U', R', U', R', U, R', F'

If yours look like the very last 2 picture, move this. M2(Middle), U, M2(middle), U2, M2(middle), U, M2(middle)
