How to Sublimate Car Cup Holders

Want a fun touch to your car cup holders? This is the perfect project for you! Super easy and incredibly customizable these coasters will brighten up your car. This tutorial will guide you through using sublimation to print on car cup coaster sublimation blanks.

Supplies

Materials Used in this Tutorial:

6 x Car Cup Coaster Sublimation Blanks

1 Sheet of Sublimation Paper

1 Foot of Butcher Paper

1 Roll of Sublimation Tape


Tools Used in this Tutorial:

Heat Press

Sublimation Printer

Open a 8.5 X 11 Inch Canvas in Adobe Illustrator

** The file preparation for this tutorial will using Adobe Illustrator, however any image editing software will work. Skip to Step 7 if you are not interested in Adobe Illustrator**

Using the Ellipse Tool Create a Circle of Radius 2 Inches

Place Pattern or Image of Your Choice Into Canvas

Place Circle Over Pattern or Image and Right Click -> "make Clipping Mask"

Repeat Steps 2-4 for All Patterns and Photos

Navigate to File - "Print" and Select "Sawgrass Print Manager" As the Printer

In the Printer Manager, Mirror the Pattern and Select "mousepad" As the Substrate

Take Sublimation Paper From the Printer When Done

Using Sublimation Tape, Secure Coasters (white Side Down) Onto Printed Sublimation Paper

Cut Away About 1 Foot of Butcher Paper and Place It Over Coasters in Heat Press

Heat Press the Coasters for 50 Seconds at 360 Degrees Farenheit

When Done, Let Coasters Cool and Peel Away From Paper
