Learn how to tie the strongest knot in fishing. Best used with braided line, this knot is extremely versatile and strong. Know how to tie basic knots like the square knot before attempting it.

Have the end of your line and the lure/hook you want to tie on. Any kind of scissors will be helpful to cut off the excess line at the end

Start by folding a bit of line in half. You'll find out pretty fast if you need to fold more or less line.

Put the folded end through the eyelet of the hook/lure.

Tie a square knot with the two ends but make sure to not tighten it just yet.

Take the folded end of the knot and put the hook/lure through the folded line.

After pushing the lure through, put the uncinched knot in your mouth to get it wet to prevent line abrasion when on tension.

Pull the ends of the knot to cinch it tight. Once that's done, cut off the excess line with the scissors.
