Want to clean up the dingy Boost sole on you Adidas shoes?

While the comfort and functionality of the Adidas Boost sole lasts much longer than the clean aesthetic, it can be refurbished to look new again with a little bit of elbow grease and skill.

Supplies

-Scrub brush (with water or shoe cleaner of choice)

-Towel (scrap for drying/cleaning)

-Shoes that need to be cleaned

-White sharpie oil pen/marker

If needed:

-Painters tape

-Sharp knife (utility or exacto)

Prep/Clean

To prepare the shoe, use water or cleaning agent to remove excess dirt and debris from shoe.

Dry

Once the shoe is clean, use towel to dry shoe. You must ensure that the sole is completely dry and clean before Step #3.

Trace the Edge

Using the Sharpie pen, carefully trace the edges of the sole (around the bottom rubber sole and as close as possible to the shoe's upper material). This can help keep you from mistakenly marking any parts of the shoe you do not want to whiten. If needed, use the painters tape to tape off the outside of the edges.

Fill In

Once you’ve outlined the edge of the sole, continue to fill in the middle while being careful not to mark any other unintended areas of the shoe.

Check

Allow the shoe to dry. Once completely dry, check for any areas that may have been missed and fill in as needed. Allow the shoe to dry again.

Rock
