How to Draw a Christmas Tree

In this first step you will be drawing the guidelines of the Christmas tree. Start by drawing a long straight line down the middle of your drawing paper and then seven lines that go across. These seven lines are placed in positions that will help you draw the points of the tree. You will then start drawing out the slopped lines that will make up the branches. After you are done you can start the lining for the trunk.

Now you will draw two more small straight lines that will be used for the guidelines pf the star. You will then draw out the shapes of the two branches at the top and complete the rest of the branches you drew in step one. You will then continue to draw the sloped lining for the rest of the branches as shown and then the beginning shapes of the candy canes and gingerbread man. Lastly draw a bottom line for the trunk of the tree.

In this third step you will first draw out the shape of the star and then finish the tree branches as shown. When you are done with that you can draw the rest of the gingerbread man and then some wrinkle lines on the tree skirt.

All you will do here is start drawing the Christmas ball ornaments as shown. you can draw as little or a lot as you like. Decorate your tree the way you would in your own house. The next thing to do is draw out the circular skirt lining that goes around the tree.

For this last drawing step you will first need to erase all the guidelines that you drew in step one. after that finish drawing the shapes of the candy canes and add the strips. Then decorate the gingerbread man with two eyes a mouth and three buttons.

When you are done your tree should come out looking like this. All you have left to do is color it in with a bunch of crayons, markers, or colored pencils. That will end this tutorial on how to draw a simple Christmas tree step by step. I will be back with two more in a bit so stick around.
