This is Tornado 96 and this is an instructable for the first of my ball machines on this site. It is called Temple of demise. Feel free to ask questions and make comments. This ball machine uses a lot of pieces so i decided not to make a piece count. Sorry.

Unluckily I couldn't upload the video. Now that you've seen the pictures it is time to get started!

The Base

This is a very important part of the model. Everything connects to this. I wonder if it would still work without it? I hope you notice how everything is placed

This is where all the action starts. If you don't have red gears you can replace it with a yellow gears but you would have to fiddle around with the spacers. Please tell me if it is hard to understand the angle of the 3-D connectors.

The receivers are the paths that take the balls back to the chain lift. There are three in total.

The main structure keeps everything strong and steady.

The model is a bit boring. Lets start adding some of the elements! First build the maze and attach it. Then build the wheel and attach it.

This is where the chain takes the ball up to the top. This part also includes the path separators.

I'm not sure why i gave the spiral staircase a whole step. Anyway, all you have to dodo is make and attach and path 2 is complete.

Yet more structure. With out this the contraption might not work. This is the most boring part of this ball machine and there is still one left.

This is the last main structure. Hooray! After this part the rest of the instructable is building elements which is the fun part.

Now that you've finally finished the structure it is time for the elements! These elements are both part of path 4. Look carefully for which spacers to use on the pendulum slide.

The Orange Path

Your almost done. This is the orange path which is the main element in path 3. When your done just add the track. The length of the big ball factory tubing is long enough on the inside but you will have to add a bit to the outside. If the ball gets stuck at the end just move the tabbed connector a bit.

Motor Attachment

In this model I used a plug in motor but I'm sure you'd be able to replace it with a any other motor or a crank if you don't have a motor.

Chain Attachment

For this part you will need 75 chain links. Divide them into 3 sets of 25 chain links.

Congratulations! you have finished building temple of demise. Only the original red and yellow balls work. Any other ball will be too big for some parts of the contraption. If you built everything right it should never fall of the track. I hope you enjoy it!
