How to Make a Chocolate Bundt Cake

Intro:

This procedure will teach you how to make a Chocolate Bundt Cake. This cake will be a good dessert for any occasion; a birthday, a holiday or any other type of celebration.

Ingredients:

-One package of Dark Devils food cake mix

-One 3 3/4oz package of Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix

-One cup of sour cream

-1/2 cup of cooking oil

-1/2 cup of warm water

-4 eggs (beaten)

-1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips

- Chocolate and/or vanilla icing

-Smarties

-Flour

-Margarine (to grease pan)

Materials:

-Bundt pan

-Measuring cup

-Large mixing bowl

-Small bowl

-Electric beater

-Serving plate

-Fork

-Spoon

-Toothpick

Preheat

Preheat the oven to 350oC.

Beat Eggs

Beat the 4 eggs with a fork in your small bowl, until the are all mixed.

Mix

Put all of the ingredients together in the big mixing bowl, (including the 4 beaten eggs) except for the chocolate chips, smarties, icing and margarine.

Beat Ingredients

Beat together (with stand mixer) the ingredients for 4 minutes on slow speed for the first 30 seconds, and the rest of the time keep the speed at medium.

Fold

Now put the chocolate chips into the bowl, and mix them until they are mixed with batter.

Spread

Spread the margarine to cover the bundt pan, then sprinkle a small amount of flour overtop, so the batter doesn't stick to the pan when it comes out of the oven.

From the Batter to the Pan

Scrape the batter into the pan using the spatula.

Bake

Bake on the middle rack at 350oC for 50-60 minutes (or use toothpick to see if it comes out clean).

Let Cake Cool

Let the cake cool in pan for 15 minutes. Then turn out onto your serving plate.

Make the Icing

Put the icing and smarties into a bowl, and heat them in the microwave for 15 seconds.

Spread the Icing

Drizzle the icing back and fourth, (from centre to outside) on the outside of the cake.
