Supplies

I'm using 2 strands of 550 paracord both are 4 and a half feet long. This is for a 8 inch bracelet.
Scissors
Lighter
Ruler or any other measuring device.
And something I forgot to add in the picture is a 2 foot piece of paracord.

Measure Your Wrist

587.JPG

Take a piece of string or extra paracord. Wrap it around your wrist to where it meets, now take a ruler and measure it and add 1 inch. That's how big your going to want to make your bracelet. The extra inch is so that the bracelet fits your wrist comfortably.

Now, however many inches your bracelet is going to be, is how much paracord you are going to want. For every inch is one foot of paracord, that's the rule of thumb. So for instant, for a 8 inch bracelet you want 8 feet of paracord. Cut your lengths, melt the ends and fuse them together.

Starting the Bracelet

  • First off find the center of your 2ft piece of paracord. After you've found that, you are going to want to measure out a half inch loop this going to be the start of your bracelet. Next you're going to make a cobra knot holding that half inch loop in place. If you don't know how to make a cobra knot, then this Instructable is not for you. Nah... I'm just kidding!! Follow the pictures and you'll have it in no time.

Ok, for the first part of the braid, take whatever color you have on the right side.Take it over the top of the core. Now bring it back though the loop and pull it tight.

Step 2

Now that you've reached the wanted length. Take the 2 outside cords and snip and singe them. Make a simple overhand knot and cut the last 2 cords singe them and YOU'RE DONE GIVE YOURSELF A PAT ON THE BACK.
