How to Make an Origami Flower

This tutorial will teach you how to make an origami flower from one piece of paper.

The things you will need:
     One piece of paper, colored paper is preferred to give your flower more pazazz
     Scissors

WARNING:
     When working with scissors, be very careful not to cut yourself. If an accident occurs, wash out the cut with warm water and apply a bandage.
     When working with close paper, be careful as to not cut yourself (paper cuts sting!)

Start by folding one corner of the paper so that the short side lines up on top of the long side. Be sure to make the crease as tight as possible. 

Now take your scissors and cut of the thin line of paper that does not overlap the soon-to-be square.

Fold each corner to its opposite counter corner, then unfold. 

Then unfold your paper and fold it in half 'hot dog' style both horizontally and vertically.

Apply pressure to the corners so that your square becomes a star shaped 3-D figure.

Fold one of the small triangles from tip to table creating a kite shaped section.

Repeat the last step 3 more times to create a kite shape.

Fold the lower edges of the kite to the center line as shown, then unfold

Fold the top point down to the bottom, then unfold

Place your finger inside the kite, just under the folds you just made and fold the top piece up.

Repeat the last step 3 more times to get a diamond.

Now fold the top point downwards. Repeat this 3 times.You should get a diamond shape.

Fold the upper edges into the center line of the diamond. Do this on all 4 sides.

Turn the 'kite' upside down and fold the top points down to get your flower!
