Today, you'll be learning how to make tall pieces on the wheel easier.

Make Your Sections

Throw your pieces. Bowls are easy to make, and make sure the diameter of the bowl is the same on both body portions. For the neck, make sure the bottom of it matches your hole for the top hole. With all of your sections, make sure that they are of similar thickness. With sections more than 3, throw cylinders straight to the wheel head.

Put Everything Together

Now that you've got all of your pieces, put 'em together. Make sure all of your stuff is just before leather hard, so that your pieces don't collapse on you. With your 3 stack piece, invert one of your bowls, and attach them both at the rims using slip. Then, attach your neck. This piece does not need to be made inverted. Make sure the hole at the top of the two bowls fits the bottom of your neck. Attach the pieces like you did with the other bowls. With more sections, it works essentially the same way.

Trimming Time!

After attaching all of your pieces together, your piece may be a little lopsided. Using your loop tool, trim out the lopsided-ness. I use a spoon to burnish my piece, or to smooth it so it's shiny.

Bisque Fire

Once you're done with everything, dry your piece out, and put it in the kiln for a bisque firing. Sit back, relax, and wait for the kiln to finish firing.

Glazed and Confused

As your final step, glaze your piece however you want! Have fun with it!
