How to Unfriend Someone on Facebook

Log on to Facebook and find the "Friends" tab. Under "Friends," select "All Friends." Scroll down the list until you find your friend's name. There is an "x" box to the right of the name beside the "Add to List" option. Click on this box.

Next, a Facebook dialogue box pops up asking if you really want to remove your friend. Steel your nerves, click on Remove, and the unfriending is done.

When you unfriend someone on Facebook, you disappear from your former friend's friend list. Your friend is not otherwise informed. You can still view your friend's Facebook profile if it is public, but you have no other access.
