This project is based on a project by students in 2nd year Product Design Engineering at Glasgow School of Art. It is based on the 'hyperloop' idea, and we were supposed to come up with a concept for travelling between GSA and the Glasgow University. In this project, you will learn how to make the vehicle concept we designed.

to create the body of the vehicle you will need to print the following files :

- nose cone x 1

- bottom piece x 2

- middle piece x 2

Egg Cushioning

to protect the egg passengers in case of disaster, cut up the sponges to fit around the eggs - you can also use tape to hold them in extra tight.

Build the Brakes

to make the brakes, cut the wood into the dimensions shown and sand the top surface thoroughly to prevent it from catching in the track later on

also. bend the steel wire to the shape shown in the pictures and attach it to the brakes and servo

Electronics Time

first of all, you need to initialise the edf, listen carefully for those beeps! and watch your fingers :) once the fan and esc are connected - it is best to weld the wires together once you know it works - set up the rest of the electronics as shown in the diagram and double check everything works. when we were making our 'vehicle' there was a lot of issues with the electronic parts, so we found it was better to triple check everything before assembling it.

Put It Together and Off You Go

now you can assemble all the parts together, with the eggs in the front ahead of the braking mechanism, and the electronics taking up the rear. once it is done, you are ready to send your 'hyperloop' along any handy drainpipe you can find :)
