I Came Up With a Reliable, Simple H-bridge.
I was preparing for the competition:, I need to create something that will help create, something else. And here is what turned out of it.
Let me talk about how I assembled a very simple H-bridge from ordinary radio parts. If no one knows, H-bridge, this is a device that controls the rotation of the motor in one direction or another.
The idea came to my mind. Replaced the field effect transistors of the arm, structures: p-channel, with thyristors. Assembly has become simple, reliable and cheap. When the control signal, I have 7-11 volts, comes to the input, immediately completely opens the transistor and thyristor, which eliminates their heating.
The thyristor itself does not turn off when turned on, even if there is no control signal. Even a field effect transistor does not break the supply of power. The thyristor will power the gate of the transistor. Will correct this ordinary diode soldered to the control leg of the thyristor.
I Collect
All the parts to demonstrate the operability of the assembly, I found without leaving the house. Some were new, others used.
The aluminum plate, I drill holes for transistors and thyristors.
The plate, it is a positive contact, screwed thyristors to it with nuts. Diodes soldered on the control legs of the thyristors. Field transistors pulled through the dielectric and plastic cups with screws. The gates are connected to the diodes, and I will give a control signal here. The output from the thyristor was connected to the source of the transistor. All according to the attached diagram. This completes the assembly. You can connect to contacts "A" and "B" of ARDUINO, through silicon transistors "P-N-P."
Demonstration
First, I connected
a voltmeter to the output of the H-bridge. You can see how the polarity at the output changes when I send a signal to points "A" and "B." Then I connected a weak electric motor, on the gear I drew a blue dot. You can see how the direction of rotation of the gear changes. Well, at the end he took an electric motor with a reduction gear from the drill, 15 Volt, 1.2 Ampere. Everything works fine. The main thing is not to overload valid parameters. This assembly is designed to 10 Ampere. When starting the motor, there is a jump in Amps of two, or three times. You can see it in the video. Under more severe loads, field effect transistors and thyristors can be more powerful.
Plans
I inventedH-bridge, it can be said loudly, maybe someone met this, but I tried. My project stopped when the Chinese engine driver BTS7960 43A burned down. The guys clearly overgrown the parameters, and the limit of 24 volts did not suit me. So I had to break my head.
Unfinished project can be viewed
and in the photo at the top.
Now you will not need to carry money to cunning and greedy merchants. You yourself will be able to make powerful H-bridges, with an increased voltage.
No need to thank -)))
