Ice Cream Freezer Cake

This is a wonderful rich ice cream dessert that is perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

Chocolate sandwich cookies like Oreo or Hydrox

Vanilla Ice Cream 2 pints

Whipped Topping

Chocolate Syrup

Making Bottom Crust

Put sandwich cookies into a plastic bag

Crush them

Save 3/4 cup of mixture for topping

Pour crushed cookies into the bottom of container

Ice Cream Layer

Let the ice cream soften

Scoop it out onto the cookie mixture crust

Spread evenly over the top

Whipped Topping Layer

Add the whipped topping to the top of the ice cream

Top Layer

Add the reserved cookie crumbs distributed evenly over the whipped topping.

Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top

Freeze

Freeze for at least one hour.

It will be difficult to cut but will soften quickly in the heat.

Running a knife through hot water before cutting will ease the process as well.
