In Memory of Mr. Spock - Vulcan Practising Bands
We have lost a great friend and mentor - Mr. Spock. He shall be remembered in galaxies far far away, as well as on Earth. But what about the people who are unable to do the Vulcan Sign? How will they survive? This is for those people who just can't separate their fingers in the right order, and who want to look stylish at the same time.
What You Need
Very simply, you are building two copper rings that go over the pointer and middle finger and the pinkie and that other finger next to it. To do this, you need simply a wire cutter, pliers (needle nose preferred), and some electrical ground wire about a foot and a half long. I prefer the white kind as it is easier to bend.
Show Me The... Copper?
Inside the white wire, there are two insulated wires and one bare wire. Remove the bare copper wire with the pliers.
Shapping the Loop
Take the bare wire and cut it in half. bend the end of one piece in a 90 degree curve so it fits with the point on the outside middle of your pointer finger. Hold the wire on the side of your pointer and wrap the wire loosely around your pointer and middle finger two or three times. End the loop at the opposite side on your middle finger and cut the wire. Repeat around the other two fingers.
Peace and Prosperity
This is the end result; two nice copper rings that go around the two sets of fingers, so when you spread then they spread just like a Vulcan's. I wish you Peace and Prosperity!
BTW, let me know if I have any errors. And yes, some of the pics are not too clear.
