Installing Aftermarket Rear Suspension Lower Control Arms!
My hard working 1999 civic has its original lower control arms. The bushings on it seems Ok but I felt the need to put new bushings or rather new arms!
A pair I found on Amazon and I bought them. They are aluminum and offer minor weight savings.

Remove the Old.
Using my Drill I quickly raised the car, took off the wheel, removed the bolts. Power lube as always helps.
Comparison.
The newer arm is definitely lighter in weight.
Install the New Arm.
Installation is the reverse of removal. I had to raise the suspension to 14 inches between the centre of the spindle nut to the inside of the tire well. I torqued all bolts properly to 54Nm. Now the car has new control arms and is a bit lighter. Looks good too.
All in all each side took 15mins. Not bad for a long term component!
