In this project I will show you how to make sheet metal out of aluminum soda cans. Once you do it a few times, you'll get the hang of it. Soon enough, you will be doing it in 30 seconds to 1 minute 30 seconds.

Supplies

All you need is an aluminum soda can and some scissors (I don't have a picture of the scissors, but I use the big Amazon kitchen scissors).

Make the Starting Hole

First you want to take the scissors and just stab them into the can. If it just makes a dent, do it harder.

Take Off the Top and Bottom of the Can

First, you will want to take the hole in the can and start cutting around the top of the can, until you circle around, and the top of the can falls off. then cut down towards the bottom of the can. Once you have a cut in the middle of the can, simply do the same thing you did to take the top off and cut around until the bottom comes off.

Flatten the (Now Just Middle Part) of the Can Out

Now just bend the can (but don't crease it). Make sure to bend it all the way around, and when it's acceptably flat, congratulations! You made the instant sheet metal!
