For the latest information and support for Aero, please visit our wiki.

Sometimes you just want to be tall. Or maybe you need to carry something but your propellers keep getting in the way. Well if you're the Aero drone, this is easy to deal with. Just follow the steps below to add some stylish leg extensions to your own Aero drone.

What's more, we've prepared eight different lengths to choose from!

This process will about 2.5 - 5 hours for printing.

Collect Materials

The only thing you will need is

  • 1x 3D printer with 2.5cm x 6-13cm print area minimum

Select the Length

There are many lengths to choose from! Eight actually, which you can download from here

Each file is labelled with its length, which is the length that will be added to the bottom of the drone. The stats for each length are shown below.

  • Length | Print time | Weight in ABS
  • 25mm | 38min | 6g
  • 39mm | 42min | 6g
  • 53mm | 47min | 7g
  • 67mm | 53min | 8g
  • 81mm | 59min | 8g
  • 95mm | 65min | 8g
  • 109mm | 71min | 9g
  • 123mm | 77min | 10g

Print the Parts

Once you've selected your length, download the appropriate STL, send it into your 3d printing software, and print.

Be sure to print 4 leg extensions of the same length.

Disassemble the Foot

Unscrew the screws on the end of the drone leg. Remove the hexagonal support and the felt tip. Keep these parts for the next step.

Insert Into the Leg Extension

Carefully bend open the ends of the leg extension, and insert the felt tip. The notches on the sides of the felt tip should fit into a couple holes in the part.

Next, insert the hexagonal support into the hexagonal hole at the top of the part.

Screw on the Leg Extension

Screw the leg extension onto the drone using the screws that you removed earlier. There should be two notches on the sides of the part which fit into holes on the leg of the drone.

Repeat

Steps 4 - 6 should be done for each leg, of course.

And that's it! Wow, so much space. What could you possibly fit under there?

Stay tuned folks.
