Hello! Have you ever wanted to display a Pokemon card, but could only have a stand for it, meaning it looks very bland, plain, and original? Then this displayer is perfect for your desires! You could store anything that is able to fit inside of the box. You will learn, how to build this box, which would solve all your problems!

Here are some rules to read (and do) this correctly!

  • The "Picture --" is to tell you which picture to look at. If you hover over it, it will show "pic --".
  • Some steps will have files on it incase when you are creating it, the file gets corrupted and you lose ALL you progress.
  • The bold words (or multiple words) are used to show importance.
  • The file(s) that are attached to the supplies (below) are incase you want to just skip some steps. It will tell you what steps you would need to do to get the file(s). A disclaimer, the file(s) are not made for everyone, it is what was used.

Supplies

DISLAIMER: Not ALL steps will be accurate depending on the one you have (like 3D Printing Software).

To create this displayer, you first must have the materials for it. The materials are below:

  • Tinkercad
  • 3D Printer of YOUR Choosing
  • PLA Plastic
  • Transparent Plastic (15cm x 15cm and 1mm width)
  • 3D Printing Software (Simplify3D is Used in this Tutorial, Cura is Free if You DONT Want to Buy)

Base

Before anything, create a Tinkercad project. If you are brand new, take some tutorials before following this guide.

BASE: Once you have completed that part, edit the grid to make it a size of 250mm x 200mm. Next, get a square, and put it on the board. After you have done that, change the dimensons as 140mm x 140mm (14cm x 14cm). Also change the height to 10mm (1 cm) and the radius to 1, Picture 1.

REMINDER: ALL THE OTHER PARTS INCLUDING TINKERCAD GO FROM STEP 1-4

Walls

WALLS: Copy and paste the base. Then, change the degree to 90 degrees. It should be connected to the base, Picture 1. Now do it to all the sides, apart for 1. That is where you will put in the transparent plastic. It should look like the picture shown, Picture 2.

Roof

ROOF: Creating the roof is split into 2 parts (the roof ,and slope). You'll have to copy the base, like you did for the walls. Then paste it. Now, to lift it up, you must hold the black arrow and drag it up. Wait until it says 130 on the side. Look at the picture for some reference, Picture 1.

Slope

SLOPE: You're going to first bring out a hole. Then, you will change the dimensions into: Height: 160mm - Length: 160mm - Width: 40mm. It should look something like the picture, Picture 1. Now, change the degrees into 10, making it into a slope, Picture 2. Now placing it onto the everything you built so far. Now, move it until it overlaps, like in the picture, Picture 3. Then, move it once back, until it isn't overlapping before selecting everything and grouping it all, Picture 4. Now, get another hole, and change the dimensions into: Height: 140mm - Length: 123mm - Width: 1mm. If it looks like the picture, Picture 5, then you did it correct. Rotate it to 10 degrees and lift it up until it shows 9 on the side. Move it until it looks somewhat like the picture, Picture 6. Group it, then you are done with this step.

Now you finished the 3D model, you will want to export it as an STL file.

DISCLAIMER: If your 3D Printing software doesn't support STL, then use the one it does support. It was a disclaimer in the supplies.

Now, open up a 3D printing software (slicing) and drop the STL file in. You are going to now print it on any available 3D printer you have. Print however possible, like if you have one connected to your computer through cable, or you have to plug in a USB stick.

Physical

After you 3D printed it, you will slide in the transparent plastic through the tiny hole you have made.

Now, you are done.
